Summary

In this section, we have looked at different types of sentences in Igbo. We have learnt how to make some sentences in Igbo.  Such sentences are declarative sentences, negative sentences, interrogative sentences, imperative sentences and imploring sentences.  These are common sentences that are used by Igbo people on a daily basis.  Most of the sentences in Igbo fall under one of these categories.

Anyị amụọla etu e si eme ụfọdụ ahịrịokwu n’Igbo.  Ahịrịokwu ndị a bụ ahịrịnkwusa, ahịrịnjụ, ahịrịajụjụ, ahịrịntimiiwu, na ahịrịarịrịọ.  Ndị a bụ ahịrịokwu ndị Igbo na-eji ekwukarị okwu, kwa ụbọchị.  Ọtụtụ ahịrịokwu dị n’Igbo dabara n’okpuru otu n’ime ngalaba ndị a.

  • Say five interrogative sentences in Igbo.

  • Say five imploring sentences in Igbo.
